Behind the Brand

My search for the ultimate vintage piece began at just fourteen.   Seeing the most amazing little crochet cardigan in the window of a tiny vintage store in Ettalong whilst out with the family and had to have it!  The first vintage purchase led to years of searching and collecting unique pieces.

Buying vintage is not just about the excitement of finding treasures, but also about being conscious of the footprint we as humans are leaving on this planet!  There is so much waste in this disposable society we live in and this is my way of helping to change that.

I love to create pieces from vintage fabrics and put together unique outfits.  I continue to expand my creativity by learning new skills to incorporate within the business, such as leather work and jewellery making.

The seventies has always been my favourite fashion era with beautiful prints and textures and that bohemian hippie vibe.  I grew up listening to some of the greatest musical acts of that era including Led Zeppelin, Jim Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac and Johnny Cash to name a few.  So needless to say album covers is where I drew my inspiration from and continue to do so today.

I am excited for the future of our little business as we continue to expand our own label in the coming months, venturing into making new products to offer in store and learning new skills along the way.   We also hope to be back on the market scene in the near future, taking our treasures on the road for all to see!
